For a while, I've had the thought of drawing one of my earliest creations when Total Drama first came out! This is the one and only OC X Canon pairing that I had and created about 10 years ago! I remember when I was in 7th grade, I've always liked Cody, and since he was single, I've decided to create a character for him. c: She is actually the first OC that I made, even before I drew myself in TD form. I remembered her character concept, but she had a completely different design when I came up with her. I remember before I started computer drawing, I used to draw her and Cody in one of my sketchbooks.
So, her name is Tanya. I'm sure you guys have seen her a few times before, but I haven't said very much about her, but I am going to right now. ^^ She is a friendly, caring, energetic, and an up-beat character who is part of the dance-team in her high school! Her favorite music to dance to is old-school hip-hop, techno, pop, and funky music! Whenever she is not practicing her choreographies for her dance team and challenging others for a dance-off, she would go out to play volleyball, basketball, and tennis. P.E. is her favorite subject in school, and her favorite sport is dodgeball! (Since Cody is very good at that, he and Tanya had always have fun either if they're on the same team or playing against each other!
)
For Tanya's character and her relationship with Cody: I've decided to start by how they first met. ^^ One day, Cody's got a locker full of text books, and since there was not enough room on the top, a couple books fell on his head and he falls onto the floor. As he leans up and rubs his head, he meets one of the girls from the dance team who is kind enough to help him up and get his books organized. They first knew each other from gym class, and Tanya has taken a good liking to him after their bonds and getting to know each other. She is more of a loyal friend than someone who has a hopeless romantic crush on Cody. Asides their relationship status, Tanya is an independent individual who likes to help others. c: She would always look after Cody whenever he was in any trouble. She's not over-protective, but she does worry when he gets into a very serious situation with anyone. She's more respectful to Cody's decisions, even if she doesn't agree with any of them. Despite that she never liked guys who are creepy, she wasn't too bothered by his perverted nature.
She's not always the nice girl when it comes to other things. She is strongly against bullying, and she highly values justice. Whenever she witnesses someone harassing their victim, she would have no problem getting involved. She would often feel guilty if she never did anything to prevent further abuse, and even when she tried her best to stop. She wanted everyone to have a good experience in their school and have a better future, which is why she does her best to motivate other people and give them positive vibes!
Her and Cody would always hang out in their free time. Tanya shows interest in his knowledge of technology while he would always attend to the gym or stadium to watch her perform with her dance team. They would always eat lunch + talk, play some sports, and attend to school dances together. As far as what I'm writing, they're more like best friends than romantic partners. However, since World Tour came, Tanya wasn't too fond of Sierra. She didn't appreciate her for her stalking behavior and her extreme obsession with Cody. She could never bring herself to pry in his personal business. Because of his attendance in the TD series, Tanya and Cody did encounter some problems with one another, and had their fair share of arguments regarding to Sierra and Gwen. Their arguments didn't last very long, so they were able to make up and work things out together, and continue the special bond they have.
Well this summons up their story! ^^ I only wanted to write some of the basic information. I'll get into more of their details if I decide to do more of them. This is the first time I wrote an OC X Canon story, and I hope you guys enjoyed it. ^^ I'm more of a Canon X Canon and OC X OC shipper, but I did remember having only one OC X Canon back in my oldest days, and I just thought of sharing it here!
If Tanya had interacted with the original cast asides Cody, I think she would be great friends with LeShawna, Trent, Gwen, Owen, Bridgette, and Geoff. I can also see her getting along with Lindsay, Beth, Izzy, Katie, Sadie, and Tyler. More will come soon!
